I write 100-word stories.
Some of ’em aren’t too bad. Some of ’em are actually pretty good. In my ever-humble opinion, that is. That’s because it’s hard to stink up a story beyond repair in just 100 words.
I got started writing 100-word stories after seeing them at 100 Words or Les Nessman (now defunct), and later at Laurence Simon’s 100-Word Stories Podcast site. They’re fun; they’re concise.
And every so often, when I get too satisfied with my own abilities, I am reminded that I am but the Grasshopper, and Laurence is the Sensei.
