I headed out to Wayneville yesterday around 7 am and my reward was the always charming sight of spiderwebs sagging with dew on the barbed wire fences.
Such gorgeous creations! An auspicious beginning to the day.
It was foggy most of the way but almost to Waynesville, the mists cleared and there in the bright blue sky up to my left were three brightly colored hot air balloons.
Talk about magical! But traffic was such that I couldn't pull off and I had to be content with shooting blind out the window of the moving car. This was the best -- and not very good at that but oh! what a sight those balloons were!
The bookfair was in a new venue -- The First Presbyterian Church made us very welcome
In the picture below, some of my author friends are Rose Senehi (seated, left, orange jacket), Katheryn Magendi (seated behind Rose) and Angela Dove (right, tan jacket.)
And there's what's-her-name.
These were in the ladies' room. I told you those Presbyterians were a welcoming bunch!
