It’s Friday, time once again for Blog d’Elisson’s Friday Random Ten, our weekly Random Round-Up of Tasty Tunes coughed up by the iPod d’Elisson.
The Missus and I are making ready for a weekend trip to the Nation’s Capital, there to see a multimedia stage production put on by Elder Daughter, our budding impresario, at the District of Columbia Arts Center Blackbox Theatre on 18th Street. Entitled The Mother Flower, it’s “a collection of performances telling the unique stories of women in their own, authentic voices. Using a range of performance and storytelling mediums, the Mother Flower explores identity, womanhood, motherhood, sexuality and self-awareness.”
I like to think of it as “The Vagina Dialogues.”
There are two performances (Saturday and Sunday nights), both of which are sold out. Go, Elder Daughter!
We also plan to hook up with Meryl Yourish for an early dinner on Saturday. This gives Meryl the long-awaited opportunity to whup me upside the haid for being such a slave-driving, obnoxious Bat Mitzvah tutor.
Meanwhile, the Little White Choon-Box awaits with its load of Choons to be disgorged. Let’s give a listen:
