Modern Day Oracle

I need an oracle.

You know, one of those divine people or objects that gives people,
who travel to see it,
wise answers to questions.

Oracle comes from the Latin word "oraculum" which is from the verb "orare" which means "to speak."

In ancient Greece there was the famous Oracle at Delphi where the God Apollo supposedly spoke to his priestess, giving her divine answers and prophecies.
In reality, I think there was a gas leak from this major crevice she sat over.
It put her in a trance and made her speak in a trance.
But, she was consulted on all important things.

In Tibet they still have oracles, and the Dalai Lama still consults the official Nechung Oracle.

And then there was the Octopus Oracle, named Paul, who lived in Germany and predicted the winner of the 2010 World Cup.

I need something like that.

In other words, I need answers.

Preferably not trance-like lunatic ravings of a weird priestess...or an old Tibetan monk or an octopus...

Maybe Annie could be my oracle?

Or my frog plant pot?

One of my burning questions right now.
Driving me crazy.
I can't figure out how to solve the problem.
I've tried everything.

Why won't my computer recognize my camera when I connect them?!!!

I'm a little behind schedule in getting these answers out.

Everyone did a lot better this week,

but ultimately, the winner was...

Valarie Lea!!

So, as I mentioned before,
all these close-ups were of items in the toy store.

Here we go:

I didn't know they even still made or sold Raggedy Ann and Andy anymore!

I wish I'd had one when I was little.

I've never seen a bear dressed up like Snow White before.

But I used to have a bear dressed up like Queen Elizabeth I.
Her name was Queen Elizabear.

Thanks for playing, everyone!!

Answers revealed - Magical Photo Mystery Tour

The person with the most correct answers,
four right out of six,
is Erika Jean,
which is so cool,
because she's the one who reminded me
that I need to do a mystery photo post!

Clearly she rocks at this game.

Here are the answers:

I think just about everyone got #1 right!
Yes, it was a pill bottle.

Only two people came close to getting #2.
Everyone thought they were lite brites,
except Erika Jean and Linda,
who correctly guessed they were the tops to pens/markers.

#3 is another one just about everyone got.
The game board for Trouble.

#4 was kind of unfairly hard.
It was obviously a hinge.
But no one got that it was a glasses case.
But how could you know?
Maybe that one was too hard.
Sorry!

And most of you got #5.
A Waterford Crystal ring holder.
I just got it for Christmas.
I love it!

#6 was another hard one that only two of you got!
Good job, Mama Dawg and Sue!

It's Annie's well-loved and well-chewed bone.
Totally gross, I know.

Thank you so much everyone for playing!

I had so much fun reading your guesses.
We'll do this again real soon!
